Point Wilson Cascades Juried into Northwind Art Show

Point Wilson and Cascades
Medium: Acrylic, Image Size: 9″h x 12″w, 2023.

This painting was juried into the Small Expressions 22 exhibition, 2023, Northwind Art, Port Townsend, WA.  This is a show of small or miniature sized paintings.

This was one of my first landscape paintings in acrylics, and I was pleasantly surprised how fun it was. I kept the style fairly loose and colorful. This scene of the Point Wilson lighthouse is seen from the north beach at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, WA. It is just north and west of the campground. From this angle the Cascade Range is visible in the background which adds a nice to touch to the composition.
