In spring and early summer, I often saw this pair of Sandhill Cranes as they hunted the flooded meadows of Rocky Point, Klamath County, Oregon. Each year they danced, called, mated, and raised their chicks at that meadow. I also could hear their bird calls from my nearby home. What a treat! So, this painting was in honor of them.
