I was commissioned to do this artwork for a T-shirt design for the 1997 Siskiyou Century Bike Ride in the Shasta Valley, Siskiyou County, California. The quaint church in the background is in the Little Shasta Valley north of Mt. Shasta, and it is one of the landmarks that the riders go past, so I chose this as the theme of the designs. Mt. Shasta towers in the background. The ride meanders throughout scenic Siskiyou County.
