YouTube Video of the Making of "Orca Duo Totem"

This video was created from a video capture that I did of the digital creation of this artwork of two Orca Whales. This design was influenced by the Native American Coast Salish art of the Pacific Northwest. Though I am not indigenious Salish, I admire the Salish Art style, and I created my modern version of their art by combining graphic motifs with shading to create a 3D totemic style. This image has two Orcas – a small family.  The artwork was created as a vector painting in Adobe Photoshop.

Over the past forty-five years I’ve put millions of brushstrokes to paper, canvas, and digital screens to master award winning skills few can rival. I paint in watercolor, oil, and acrylic mediums, as well as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I like to create art that has sophistication, cleverness, beauty, or humor.
