I wanted to create an oil painting of a diverse variety of horses, so I painted this artwork which includes, a buckskin, bay, and several sorrels. I used an autumn scene from one of my favorite places on Black Mountain in Siskiyou County, California. The colors of the horses and the autumn colors of the oak trees worked very well together.
