Tender Kisses

Watercolor painting of a mother deer and her two fawns by Janet Tarjan Erl.

Tender Kisses

Medium: Watercolor, Image Size: 14″h x 21″w, 1994.

I painted this scene after seeing a Mother Black-tailed deer gently kiss one of her fawns in our front yard on Black Mountain, Siskiyou County, California. Our property was a nursery ground for many of the mother deer, so we were often treated to a half dozen new fawns every year who were raised our property.

Original is sold.
