Watch This Christmas Card Being Painted

This was my 2022 Christmas card that I painted in Photoshop.  I did a video capture of painting it using OBS Studio.  I then video edited it in Shotcut to create a YouTube video.

I did have a few artwork elements that I had painted previously, like the bear (bear with no clothes) and two of the cubs.  I imported them into the artwork as layers and embellished them with clothes and toys using Photoshop.  This is a complicated and detailed illustration and it took over forty hours to paint and forty hours to make the video.

Over the past forty-five years I’ve put millions of brushstrokes to paper, canvas, and digital screens to master award winning skills few can rival. I paint in watercolor, oil, and acrylic mediums, as well as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I like to create art that has sophistication, cleverness, beauty, or humor.
