Point Wilson Lighthouse Study

This is small but cute watercolor of the buildings of the Pt. Wilson Lighthouse complex at the northwest spit at Fort Worden State Park, in Port Townsend, Washington. This was a quick study done for the larger Point Wilson Lighthouse painting.

Point Wilson Lighthouse

Medium: Watercolor, Image Size: 12″h x 16″w, 2016.

This painting was of Pt. Wilson Lighthouse which was the larger and final version of the lighthouse. A small study was done of this previously. The lighthouse is located at Fort Worden, Port Townsend, Washington. It is an attractive complex of buildings. The red roofs contrast nicely with the subdued blue background of hills and thunderclouds. The wind-swept tree not only accents the buildings it also shows how windy this point gets.

Point Wilson Springtime

Medium: Watercolor, Image Size: 7″h x 10″w, 2015.

This lovely view of Point Wilson Lighthouse in Port Townsend, Washington was so nicely framed by the wind-swept conifers, and I thought it would make a good painting. The foggy background was a great backdrop to the sunlit lighthouse and foreground was full of spring flowers.
