Watercolor painting of Cackling Canada Geese in an autumn corn patch by Janet Tarjan Erl.

Cacklers In the Corn Patch

Medium: Watercolor, Image Size: 27″h x 36″w, 1986.

These Cackling Canada Geese are the smallest sub-species of the Canadian Geese. They are about the same size as a Mallard Duck. I painted this beautiful pair into a scene from one of my corn patches. Autumn had passed and the corn plants had dried. I loved the twisted shapes of the papery leaves and the golden back-lit colors. It made a good composition for the geese.
