ABOUT THE ARTWORK:  This watercolor was sketched on location at China Beach on the Southern Oregon coast; however, I painted this in my studio. This scenic beach is part of the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor. From where I sketched I looked west to the ocean and seastacks. The beach is somewhat remote because it requires hiking a mile or so down a steep trail. It is a beautiful location dotted with abundant craggy spires.  The image below is the sketch that was done on the beach.
