Crater Lake Kittens

Medium: Watercolor, Digital/Photoshop, Image Size: 20”h x 20″w, T-shirt Image Size: 12″h x 12″w 2001.

This design was created as an apparel design for T-shirts. Our company, Trekker Designs, sold many of these bear shirts to Crater Lake Company who was the gift shop concessionaire for Crater Lake National Park at that time.

Bobcat kittens are playful and curious. While Mom is out hunting, these frisky kittens scamper into a tree whenever they are unsure of who or what is watching them. Bobcats are common residents of Crater Lake National Park. They get their name because of their “bobbed” tails. They are expert climbers and excellent hunters.

Painted in watercolor. Scanned into the computer and floated. Digital painting and enhancements, graphics, colors, effects, and text were done in Photoshop.
