Dog’s Life

Our dog Benji was a real character. He was very handsome, intelligent, independent minded, and creative, so I painted him in one of his unique poses. Benji was a cross between a Queensland Heeler and a Basenji. He had a curly tail, was medium sized, and was an excellent hiking companion.

This piece won first place watercolor, and people’s choice awards at the Siskiyou Artists Association Art Show, 1992, Weed, California, (Second Place and Best Domestic Animal Award).
