ABOUT THE ARTWORK:

This dramatic beach scene is at Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Oregon. It looks south from the main beach access. I saw this scene in mid-winter at sunset. The sunset colors on the rocks were bright, warm, and colorful. The smooth sandy beach contrasted sharply against the rugged rocks which I thought made a dramatic painting. The reflections of the rocks in the water added to this impressive scene. The dominant rock on the right is Arch Rock. Arch Rock has an impressive arch that can be seen from the other side of this rock cluster.

Harris Beach State Park is a beautiful state park with scenic beaches, rock monoliths, islands, outcrops, meandering creeks, trails, wildlife, and a campground. It is a popular tourist destination.

Prints and paintings do not have the “Tarjan” watermarks on them.
