Kimball State Park
Medium: Watercolor, Image Size: 9.75″h x 16.75″w, 2009.
I was at Kimball State Park in the Fort Klamath Basin of Southern Oregon during autumn where I did a small plein-air painting of the fall colors from this overlook along the Wood River. This painting was done in the studio from that study. The north and east areas of the Klamath Basin are richly decorated with aspens. In autumn these trees make these regions rich with yellow, orange, and red hues. They are simply stunning.
This painting was juried into the 64th Annual International Aqueous Open, 2010 sponsored by the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, and the Oregon Waterways Exhibit, 2012, Giustina Gallery, Corvallis, Oregon.
