Lessor Yellowlegs Trio

This painting depicts a beautiful trio of Lessor Yellowlegs as I saw them as they hunted along the California coast near Carmel. These are fun birds to watch as they probe for sand crustaceans. This painting exhibited in the Maritime Miniatures by Maritime Masters Exhibition, 2009.
