ABOUT THE ARTWORK:

This dramatic rocky beach scene is at Lone Ranch State Park north of Brookings, Oregon. This view looks west and is seen from a section of the Oregon Coast Trail which overlooks the beach. I saw this at a low tide so the rock spire and its surrounding boulders are not surrounded by water. I love the dramatic composition with the rugged rocks, turbulent waves, and peaceful sandy beach.
Lone Ranch State Park is a beautiful state park with scenic beaches, rock monoliths, islands, outcrops, meandering creeks, trails, and wildlife. It is a popular tourist destination.
