I painted this view of Pt. Wilson Lighthouse in Port Townsend, Washington as seen from the westside of the lighthouse. From this side the grasses grow wild and tall, so I experimented with painting the grass by using strips of thick paper that I dipped in the paint and dabbed onto the canvas.

I did this in an impressionistic style.
