This painting was of Pt. Wilson Lighthouse which was the larger and final version of the lighthouse. A small study was done of this previously. The lighthouse is located at Fort Worden, Port Townsend, Washington. It is an attractive complex of buildings. The red roofs contrast nicely with the subdued blue background of hills and thunderclouds. The wind-swept tree not only accents the buildings it also shows how windy this point gets.
