ABOUT THE ARTWORK:  This timber wolf rests contentedly in rays of sunlight that warm it in the coolness of a forest. The landscape setting was a scene I saw while hiking past Castle Crags Wilderness in Siskiyou County, California. I included a wolf in the painting to add interest to the setting and make the contrast of light and dark, and warmth and coolness have more feeling.
