While I was attending U.C. Davis as a student and as an employee, I was supervisor to Terry Kinney who routed me some illustration accounts that I did in my spare time. The company was Sirius Software, and they commissioned me to do illustrations for their computer game covers. This artwork was for the game Snake Byte. This artwork predated computer art and Photoshop, so any special effects like smooth air brush effects, bevel and emboss, or any lettering that needed to be crisp and clean were done using friskits and air brush. It was old school skills. At that time my name by marriage was Janet Lopez, so I signed my work as J. Lopez.
