Waders at the Slough
Medium: Watercolor, Image Size: 11.5″h X15.5″w, 2009.
This painting is a quick study of wading birds I saw at Elkhorn Slough Estuary on the central California coast. This coastal estuary was at low tide and the mud flats were exposed and a flock of Sandpipers were actively feeding next to two elegant Avocets that were at rest.
This painted exhibited at the Maritime Miniatures by Maritime Masters 2009, The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport, Mystic, CT.
