ABOUT THE ARTWORK: This acrylic painting is of a cute wooden boat I often saw moored at Nordland, Washington on Marrowstone Island. I would see this boat from the main road, Hwy 116. There is one very scenic cove along this road called Mystery Bay which is where the tiny town of Nordland is. There are always boats anchored in this sheltered cove. My husband and I traveled this road often on our way to hike the many trails at Fort Flagler State Park, and we always enjoyed looking at the boats. This cute wooden boat caught my eye, so I decided it would make a peaceful scene for a painting.
