Death Valley Compilation

Medium: Watercolor, Digital/Photoshop, Image Size: 9”h x 21″w, T-shirt Image Size: 6.25″h x 14″w 2002.

This design was created as an apparel design for T-shirts for the Death Valley National Park. The park is the lowest point in the United States, and it is a stark yet beautiful desert. This composite shows the Bad water area, the Sand Dunes area, and the Golden Canyon area. The Coyote is native to Death Valley, though it is reclusive.

Painted in watercolor. Scanned into the computer and floated. Digital painting and enhancements, graphics, colors, effects, and text were done in Photoshop.

Death Valley Salt Flat

This watercolor study is of one of the most famous locations in Death Valley National Park. It depicts the salt flats. It had just rained there so there were pools of water that made an interesting composition.
