When the Geese Come Home

Watercolor landscape and geese painting by Janet Tarjan Erl.

When the Geese Come Home

Medium: Watercolor, Image Size: 19″h x 28.5″w, 1992.

In autumn, the Canada Geese migrate through Siskiyou County, California on their way to the refuges in central California. I saw this flock along the Shasta River just south of Montague. The old Cottonwood trees made an interesting composition for the geese.

This piece exhibited in the Leigh Yawkey Woodsen Art Museum’s ‘Bird’s in Art.’

This watercolor was of the beautiful setting of the Sutter Buttes in northern California. I painted a few Snow Geese in the background to add some accents to the landscape.

Edge of the City

Watercolor landscape painting of Klamath Falls by Janet Tarjan Erl.

Edge of the City

Medium: Watercolor, Image Size: 11.5″h x 15.5″w, 2001.

Few cities have as much wildlife and waterfowl next to their downtown as does Klamath Falls, Oregon. This is one of the picturesque settings of Klamath Falls as seen from the Wing-watcher Trail southwest of downtown. Many wild and domestic birds live along the trail such as these Canada Geese, Greylag Geese, Coots, and domestic geese. The downtown is shown in the background.

Original is sold.
